Teria Morada (Azucar Picante Ent.) is an Entertainer, Professional Singer/Lyricist, Dance/Choreographer, former 2 time Jr. Canadian Rhythmic Gymnastics Champion & National Team Member. Also, a multiple Latin Dance Champion and a Professional & Exprienced, Dance & Fitness Instructor. Teria began training at the age of 3 and has performed and taught workshops all over the world since her teens. Teria was based in Hollywood, California 2002-2014 and then briefly in Guadalajara, Mexico before returning to her hometown permanently at the of 2014.
2017 had some amazing moments for this Multi-Talented Artist! Teria was awarded the 2017 Entertainer of the Year Trophy at Woodbine Latin Fest. Azucar Picante Featuring Sahab Habibi entertained along side Jully Black at the Pink Diamond Cancer Survivors Gala in September and Justin Trudeau was among other special guests at Farvardine Gala in March at the 4 Seasons where Azucar Picante's Electric Tango Fusion took centre stage.
Teria is proficient in Salsa and all types of Cuban & Latin styles, Samba, Belly, Bollywood, Jazz, Ballet, Afro and Persian dances. She choreographs for dancers and gymnasts all over the world from beginner to Olympic and World professional levels. In September 2016, she starred in the musical "Follow your Heart" a Love story of taboo and tradition, along side many of her dance company members including her current Latin dance partner, Dreyser Garcia. Teria danced in 16 pieces and choreographed 8 in this production and was an integral part of the casting team. Her song Takin me Higher was also used in the production. A few other credits include, Choreographer of Belly/Reggaeton fusion for the World Renowned Bellydance Superstars and the award winning short film Bollywood Invasion, The Toronto Salsa Festival, The Beijing Garden Expo and Beijing International Triathlon in China. Azucar Picante represented Canada, Cuba and The USA for the 2015 Pan Am games concert series in Niagara Falls and was assistant choreographer. In her earlier years, Lead dancer for the Tropicana (Canada edition) and The Bacardi Salsa congress in Puerto Rico to name only a few. Teria was also part of Los Rumberos dance company in Los Angeles and danced with Francisco Vazquez, the pioneer of LA style. Teria comes from a creative, musical family and began dancing and performing at the age of 3. Teria is a Singer/Lyricist & Dancer/Choreographer. Canadian born & of Mediterranean/Latin decent, she has performed worldwide. Check out for her first all english pop/dance track “Takin’ Me Higher” (now available on iTunes) co-written by Teria & Joelle Sahar, produced by female British producer Sammy Jay (worked with the Pussycat Dolls). Teria was also part of Los Angeles based “LSA” Latin Supremo Allstars (Latin/Urban Trio). Their album “El Clasico” is also available on iTunes. There are 7 re-mixes of her song "Salvador" from a previous collaboration with Alexander Perls, released By Dion Mavath and friends on BLUSH RECORDS. Those remixes have been heard in Dubai, Australia, Spain, Greece, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Canada and The U.S.A. They can also be found on the iTunes and on many other sites for download. Teria is former two time Jr. Canadian National Rhythmic Gymnastics Champion, 5 time Provincial Champion and a Canadian National Team Member. The 60th Anniversary of Rhythmic Gymnastics in Canada was celebrated in late January 2010 at The Koop Cup International Gala and Competition that 15 countries around the world came to and participated at Toronto's Metro Convention Centre. Teria performed and choreographed a Bollywood/Rhythmic Fusion. She was recognized as former Canadian Champ and former KOOP Cup winner and was also a creative contributor to the event. Teria also contributed choreography for Canada's 2012 Olympic Team and has performed with them at their gym club's year-end event in 2011. This May 2014, Teria sang at the former Maple Leaf Gardens at the 4 Continents R.G. championships closing ceremonies with 40 Canadian Gymnasts. Teria trained under Lauren Randolph for Gymnastics and George Randolph for Dance.
Teria is also the founder of Azucar Picante Entertainment which has 60 performance artists in its roster!! They perform all around the world and at a variety of events. Azucar Picante dancers and choreography were featured at The Alex Theatre's L.A'S BEST DANCERS REVUE! Teria was a featured singer as well. They also performed Samba at The Playboy Mansion in 2010 and an International Show at a Poker Kings event in Dublin, Ireland featuring world class Darbuka player,
Issam Houshan. Azucar Picante in conjunction with Rio Brasil Los Angeles also performed in China in 2013 for the opening ceremonies of the Beijing International Triathlon and for 2 weeks at the Beijing Garden Expo.
Teria is a member of the World Famous Los Rumberos Dance Company partnering with one of the creators of Los Angeles style salsa, Francisco Vazquez. She is also part of top Bollywood Dance companies in the USA, The BellyTwins and Karmagraphy and popular Belly Dance company, Bohemia. Teria is very well known in the Los Angeles Dance community for her Belly Dance/Rhythmic Gymnastics Fusion with Latin, Belly & Bollywood.
Choreography credits include, hiphop/bollywood choreography, appeared in and was associate producer for, film "Bollywood Invasion." by Shaan Dasani that has numerous awards at film festivals this year! She is also one of the choreographers for the World Renowned Bellydance Superstars, debuting her reggaeton/bellydance fusion piece in "The Art of Bellydance”. Teria was also Choreographer for the Reggaeton Concert, “CALIBASH 2010” at The Staples Centre to a sold out crowd! Teria was the lead performer and co-choreographer in TROPICANA Cuban Cabaret (Canada Edition). Teria also choreographed and starred in productions such as Moulin Rouge, Rio, Alma de Fuego and Mosaic International in Hollywood, as well as sang and danced at The Rock's (Dwayne Johnson) movie premier of “The Rundown” at Universal Studios. Teria along with Strickly Salsa, also represented Canada at The World Salsa Congress in Puerto Rico.
Teria's live performances include local and nationwide tours for Canadian dance hall king and Guinness Book World Record holder, SNOW (Informer) and has also performed at Axl Rose from Gun N Roses' private Halloween party at his Malibu home. Teria has also performed with International, Latin, Persian, and North American artists such as Oscar D' Leon, Julio Savala, Gilberto Santarosa, DLG, Soul Decision, Chico Castillo The Gypsy (Gypsy Kings, Toni Reyes Festival del Verano), Mansour, Pouya, KamyR (Black Cats), Max Amini, Farshid Amin, Leila, Afshin, Andy Madadian, Shore & Shahram Solati, Rick Vito (Fleetwood Mac), Malika Sherawat, The Papichulo Crew, Shantall Young-Oneto and Ricky Franco. Teria also had a lead dance role as “Rosalina Gomez” in Tony Plana’s (Ugly Betty, 3 Amigos) Pacheco version of 'Romeo and Juliet” (East L.A. Classic Theatre).
Teria has taught dance workshops and classes since age 15 all across Toronto, Los Angeles & Guadalajara and was co-owner/director of a dance and fitness studio “Body Works” in Los Angeles for 3 years and has been also a private dance coach for her dear friend Sofia Milos (CSI Miami, The Soprano’s). Teria was named by DIZOJA (Indian dance school in Mexico) the Pioneer of Bollywood in Guadalajara where she also was a principal performer at TribalFest 2014 where she did a belly, bollywood, rhythmic gymnastics fusion.
Teria has studied dance genres from ballet, belly, jazz, tango, hip hop, popping, afro- cuban, tap, samba, axe, cumbia, merengue, salsa, mambo, bollywood, bhangra, cabaret/burlesque, cha cha cha and other folkloric dances. Ms. Morada has also won numerous dance competitions and has been seen on US, Canadian and South American television dance and singing programs. Her singing styles vary from latin, pop, dance to jazz, rock and soul.
As of May 2014, Teria is back in her hometown of Toronto working on the Middle Eastern Musical "Follow your Heart" where she holds the lead role of "Almaza" along side well known Toronto Contemporary star, Mateo Galindo Torres and Belly Queen Choreographer EliSheva (Elisabeth Gluck). Teria also choreographed 8 pieces in the show and 2 of them to her own original music. Playing "Almaza" is her first dramatic acting role in theatre.
